Press Release from OSCA inc. Wednesday
August 31, 2005
NSW
Premier Morris Iemma says Lot
107 has no environmental significance.
He
states in a letter to Don Page Member for Ballina...
" Lot
107 was mostly cleared and therefore has no potential as an environmental
facility."

Underlying
questions that need to be asked of Council...
1. Is Council grabbing land at the expense of the ratepayers and in
the
case of the sports fields... the children ?
2. Did Council know they were not going to develop Lot 107 as sports
fields when it was originally purchased ? What is Council's true agenda
?
3. Is Council using delaying tactics with the latest proposal of sports
fields
at Yelgun which will cost $1.3million to purchase ?
4. Is purchasing the land at Yelgun any guarantee that sports fields
for
Ocean Shores will become a reality ? Past experience suggests NOT.
5. The situation is outrageous that the ratepayers have to fight Council
in
court for land that has been declared to have no environmental significance.
I would appreciate some help to get to the truth about Lot 107 Sports
Fields at North Ocean Shores.
I
look forward to your reply.
