Introduction

AIM :
To educate and protect the residents of the Brunswick Valley from future flooding.

OBJECTIVES :
To investigate ways of alleviating future flooding.
To identify past actions which have exacerbated the flooding problem.

STRATEGIES : The following resource material and information has been collected over many years. These documents provide a factual historical timeline of events that have led to our present day situation.

POINTS to consider.
Point 1. Water finds its own level.
Point 2. Objective of flood water is to reach the ocean.
Point 3. Any form of man made obstruction which interferes with the flow of the water needs to be identified.

DESIRED OUTCOME :
To prepare a true and accurate document which identifies the present situation in relation to flooding in the Brunswick Valley. This document will outline how to minimise the effects on life and property.

RECOMMENDATIONS :
The formation of a body of residents dealing specifically with the flooding issues of the area. The formation of a life RAFT (Residents Against Flood Turmoil).
